As one of the North's leading choral societies, Leeds Philharmonic Chorus currently has around 120 singers. We will reach our 150th Anniversary in 2020 and are seeking more members in all voice parts to help us celebrate in style, as well as new audiences!
Next season we have a wide and varied programme; it includes Handel's Messiah with the Black Dyke Band, Dvorak's beautiful Stabat Mater and two works by Elgar, The Spirit of England and The Dream of Gerontius. We will also be singing at the Lord Mayor's Carol Concerts in Leeds Town Hall. Rehearsals for our first concert, in October, begin on Thursday 30th August.
Full details of all our concerts are in the attached leaflet. If you can distribute printed copies of that, please let me know and I'll get some delivered to you. Alternatively, you could print off the separate recruitment flyer also attached to this email and display that in a prominent place!
Ideally we're looking for people over 18 with some experience of singing who would enjoy performing with well-known musicians in the UK and abroad. We offer a reduced subscription for new members and students pay just £15 for a whole season's membership. More information can be found on our website, www.leedsphil.com or by telephoning me on 01274 607832.
Thank you for your support.
Best wishes
