Below is an article that missed the printed news letter. It was sent to Pat to canvass the views of the Ladies Fellowship, but the subject is important to the whole village.
Please respond if you feel strongly about speeding through the village.

Dear Pat
I'm trying to persuade my colleagues on the Parish Council to invest in two Speed Indication Devices (SIDs) for our village. I believe that such devices - particularly the smiley face/angry face variety - will help to remind people of the need to observe the speed limit.
Speeding in the village is sometimes a problem, and I don't want to wait until there is an accident before taking action.
I wonder if you would be able to canvass the views of Ladies Fellowship members on this matter, with a request to email or write in their support for this proposed measure - assuming, of course, that they agree with it.
